Misc Sketches/Progress/Checking in

Hey all! I'm very grateful (and encouraged) by the reception to the Samus animation. As shown by my recent poll I have no shortage of scenarios I'd like to animate and see how far I can push it. My mission is to use my established processes to streamline production without sacrificing quality, and I think my chances are good. I had to put Cell V Samus down a lot throughout making it because of moments where I had trouble wrapping my head around how to approach something. It was a lot different from a simple cycle! This first trial removed a bit of shrubbery in the forest of obstacles.

Speaking of trials, I am moving in about a month, a dreaded process that most certainly poses a risk to the free time I'll have to work. I intend to work business as usual to the best of my ability, but I wanted to give the heads up on the chance that I go dark for a bit at the end of February.

Attached here (along with some other sketches and WIPS of commissions and other works) is my Frieren piece (including a few sketches while trying to figure out what I wanted to do. Next to my usual sequences it's a relatively small piece, but rest assured it won't be my last piece of the smug elf. I unfortunately have to wretch my attention more into work outside of sharkverse stuff for the rest of this month at least, so I expect to finish Frieren after the beginning of February. My hope is that Cell v Samus made a big enough splash to tide things over until then :P

Cait's Quest! It's clear by now that updates on it have slowed down, in part due to me switching them to full color pages (absolutely no regrets, I'd like to keep this the norm) and also from my push to finish Samus. I'm still very excited to keep playing around in the world and have no intentions to slow down any further. My overall plan is to finish Frog Pond, after which I will use Redux to catch up to where things are now (at least, up to the point where Cait's party encounter Aife). Now, all webcomic advice I hear generally frown on going back to re-doing old pages...but in in my case, I think Redux will continue helping me enrich the beginning of the story much more than my skills could in the very beginning. When there's so much more to add, then I can justify re-makes, and it will most likely be the only project I remake anyway ^^

We're still going to see some plot progression even as Redux is catching up, and there will be many forks in the road...I have rough sketches for the next update already, so I think we'll see it alongside Frieren in a few weeks time.

I've been getting some FIRE commission ideas from a lot of y'all lately, and they're all chances I'm grateful for. The floor (slots I guess you can call them?) are still open, so just DM me if you want my take on anything specific! The sketch event pieces some of you have submitted are still in the works, and I have to have them rolled out before the month is over, so -as usual- thanks for waiting!

Well, that was wordy...But I figured a good healthy check in is good every once in a while! Best part is your insurance covers it! I think.
