Yujin's team was walking slow AF bc people from Chungcheong are stereotypically known to be really slow and take their time with everything And even though they evened out the teams eventually, it was a cute concept. In korea, they have a CRAP ton of these athletic competitions that start off neighborhood vs neighborhood then the winner represents the regions and they do these region vs region competitions and usually they do it like here where they have a procession and ribbon cutting ceremony and it looks all very official just for a bunch of neighborhood people to come together and compete. Pretty similar to how churches here (well at least korean churches) will have these huge picnics all together and have like a volleyball tournament between churches. It's kinda just ingrained in koreans
