2023-01-17 14:24:20 +0000 UTCwhere did i pretend to know him personally? :) may i ask WHAT exactly has you so offended? you do realize this comment was made before we learned about his breakdown in the military.... i care for him very much, and it is not an insult to say that the members still treat him like someone who finds it hard to be independent. childish behavior as i said in the comment, is also not an insult. if you think taemin is very mature and manly, then ok. i don't really think so. i think he is very youthful and fragile and there is a reason the members "baby him" a little <3 we love him no less because of that...... i don't know how old you are, so i don't want to offend, but i am not young. i am 30. so i look at taemin through THAT lense. as he is a fully adult male and right now he has gone into a breakdown and needs professional help. so lets all just respect that. he is not well. if you think i said something offensive that was not my intention. i was commenting on YOUNG taemin and still seeing some traits of that today. it's all in good fun and do not for one second take me as some delusional person who thinks they know the members personally. haha i certainly do not believe that. anyways rant over.. hope you can see what i meant.

You only see a glimse of him on the internet. People around Taemin has always shared how professional and mature he is and how he takes good care of people around him. Its the fans who put him in this brat/kid category who are still stuck in 2008 and can’t seem to let go of young Taemin. Just because he act cheerful and is like a younger brother towards his members doesn’t mean he is a immature person. To his members he is still their younger brother, and to you he is a stranger. Respect him and stop pretending you know him personally.

2022-01-15 12:54:54 +0000 UTCoh my gosh the nightmare NEVER ends does it ! haha oh my :( Key's season is way better and shorter! lol I am SO happy Taemin is different today, but he still feels very much like a kid. in alot of ways. when you're in the role of the little brat or cute little brother, either way - it takes extralong time for him to realize, he is a fully adult male and should know what a broccoli is :D I personally think the military will mature him as he learns he can't just act like a kid forever. key and minho and onew certainly came back SO much more manly and mature. I know this was years ago, but i still see some childish behaviors in him xD oh my this episode.....

2022-01-09 23:33:24 +0000 UTCWhat a mess. I was really disappointed in Taemin's manipulation of Naeun's feelings. When she was so hurt, I thought that Taemin was being cruel. In fact, I thought about what I would do in that situation. I would definitely eat to my heart's content and then, possibly, stay quiet, moving forward with the show, but that would be the end of our "relationship" and any chance of becoming closer. Naeun is too young and innocent to realize that a person who acts like that probably is like that. Obviously, and hopefully, Taemin has matured emotionally since then and treats his partners with more care and compassion. The only way I am coming to terms with that type of manipulation is that when I was his age, I was also a bit of a jerk. I was naive and didn't consider the feelings of others as much as I do now. But over the decades, I grew into a kind, thoughtful adult. Also, if this is one of the suggestions in the script (shame on you, directors), Taemin was also too naive to realize that it could backfire big time. As I write this, I realize that I was angry at first, and now I am just disappointed. I am not a fan of reality TV, nor do I watch it, because the manipulation of people's emotions for likes or views is on another level, one in which I don't care to participate, even as a consumer. I wonder how many Shawols he alienated during this episode. If I were watching WGM in real time, I don't know if I could forgive him myself! Meanness is never cool or appropriate, even or especially when manufactured. As always, thank you, Tors1e, for sharing your reactions to Taemin's continuing antics, no matter how cringe worthy. (I'm now going to rewatch Final Life to see Taemin's heart get broken. Maybe then I can forgive him.) *Better yet, I'll rewatch his vignette in As You Wish (with SuperM), where he shows his sweet, adorable side. If you haven't seen it, it's the perfect balm for a moment like this.
