Change of plans

So I've been doing a lot of thinking recently. I'd be lying if I said a lot of this wasn't sparked by technical issues trying to work on "Pump Up the Volume", but a good chunk of it also has to do with how I feel about 3D in general right now.

My previous plan was to try and complete another image pack before I switched full time to Houdini. Unfortunately, I don't think this is going to happen at the moment. I've been encountering a lot of problems in C4D that have been dragging me down a bit, and I'm kind of tired of dealing with all that stuff. I thrive on creating new things and showing people stuff they've never seen before, but I can't keep doing that when I'm encountering so many software issues and having to spend so much time looking for workarounds.

As such, I've decided to uninstall C4D entirely and begin the switch to Houdini.

Unfortunately this means that "Pump Up the Volume" is going to be shelved for a while. I still want to do something with that in the future, but I just don't know when.

I've also decided that I want to explore some different stuff for a while. It's difficult to explain exactly what because I'm still working out a lot of the details, but it will very likely be sci-fi based and feature a ton of gratuitous hourglass curves and/or hourglass inflation. This mostly stems from a couple ideas that I've had kicking around in my head for years now, but also because I'd like to find something new and refreshing that I can use to learn Houdini with. I could port over all my old assets and characters, but I'd just be retreading over the same ground I've already covered- and I don't want to do that until I'm confident I can rebuild Jessica and Vanessa even better than before.

Anyways, apologies for the sudden switch up. I'll likely be posting some experimental stuff in the near future (probably non-fetish related abstract stuff) as I try to learn the ropes of Houdini. After that, I'll be starting work on some new characters from the ground up. From there I'll probably look at creating some new environments, and then hopefully things will settle back down into a development-render-development-render cycle where I can release finished content on a more regular occasion.
