Clarifications about tiers and payments

Before I say anything else, I just want to be clear on something- absolutely nothing is changing.

I've had a couple of questions about how my tiers work (especially in regards to sequences) and whether or not I'll be enabling Charge Up Front (aka CUF), since it seems like a lot of other artists are scrambling to do that right now.

First, about CUF:

I've thought long and hard about this, and I just can't justify enabling it. CUF effectively works by charging new Patreons for the tier amount as soon as they sign up, and again on the 1st of every month after that. This is stupid for a number of reasons, but the first and foremost is that new Patreons can find themselves getting double-billed if they sign up near the end of the month and the calendar subsequently rolls over.

Another reason why I dislike CUF is because I realize that fetish artwork is often highly subjective and extremely niche. I'm not going to blame anyone if they pledge, change their mind, then delete that pledge. While it is true that I have plenty of previews available on DA and that anyone pledging here should know exactly what they're getting into, I also realize that the times are changing and that an impulse decision to pledge now may not turn out to be the best of decisions in a couple of days. Technically this does open me up to abuse from people who pledge-and-delete every other month (just so they can grab the full versions of my images for free), but that's just something I'll have to deal with for now.

So while CUF may be a massive benefit to me (as a creator), I don't believe that CUF is fair to any of my potential customers. Unless Patreon forces us to enable CUF for some reason, I will not be enabling it now or in the future.

Second- about tiers and image sequences:

I don't like running a complicated Patreon. I've seen other accounts with dozens of tiers and it makes my head spin. I've also heard from other people that pledging to those accounts is often a nightmare, because it's nearly impossible to figure out what you're going to get and the thing that you want is usually buried deep in some other random tier.

That being said, the most I've ever intended on having is a whopping three tiers:

 • $2: Basic tier, includes all single image renders at full resolution, WIPs, BTS screenshots, technical breakdowns, and pretty much everything else

 • $8: An unreleased tier that I will be introducing *in the future* which will receive access to the former tier AND all my image packs on a monthly basis (where I will be sending out links on or shortly after the 1st of every month to all those with verified payments)

 • $20: For people who really like my stuff and want to support me more than usual, includes rewards from both the previous tiers

I can't really justify releasing the $8 tier at the moment, since I wanted to target a minimum of 1 image pack per month (worst case, 1 image pack every two months) to keep that tier running and actually worth the cost.

So for the time being, it's just going to be the $2 and $20 tiers.

I am planning on starting some more image packs in the (very) near future. These will follow the same release system as my previous pack. WIPs will be posted here of the sequence(s) as they're completed for all to view, and then when the final pack is finished those WIPs will be removed and all existing Patreons will receive the pack for free. Everyone else will have to purchase the pack from e-Junkie (however, if you're a $20 Patreon with at least one verified payment- then just let me know and I'll send you the links for whatever packs you want).

I think this is fair, unless I've overlooked something. Like I've mentioned above, I'm not out to get anyone and I don't have the time or will power to worry about content piracy or any of that stuff (I'd rather dedicate my time to producing new content than filling out DMCA takedown requests and inconveniencing everyone with things like CUF). Likewise, I'm not interested in taking anyone's money if they're not satisfied with what I have to offer, and I don't want to complicate the tiers to the point that nobody knows what they're getting when they sign up.

Anyways, yeah. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions.
