Low fuggin blow Cain, shoving his dad's disappearance in his face like that. I'm glad his sister showed up to school him! I wonder if she supports him due to some sort of world balance thing, and/or if Gen is able to control the monsters that kill people all the time. Also, @ Cain: he literally started the speech saying he wasn't alone, what makes you think he's gunna walk off into danger like his Dad did all alone? And about that! Where did Dad go? You said it was somewhere "like" the dark kingdom, which means it's not the kingdom he was leaving for. Also, he went off alone. Knowing how loving and close Gen's parents were, I'm pretty convinced that there are only two scenarios here: either Momma was forced to stay home with the kids instead of join Daddy (but then why would daddy have left his husband? What could be so important that they would separate that isn't the old dark kingdom?); or Momma's already dead at this point and Daddy is going off to avenge him or smtn and has to go alone because the kids are still young, just old enough for Gen to take care of Gale (I am assuming that Gen's parents left when the boys were young. Maybe even as young as the building on fire scene, but if not that young then it's definitely been a few years). In both cases the prevailing question is: what would be so important? Who knows, not me yet that's for damn sure. All I know is that Daddy looks real good storming off with full Dark King (disgraced dark king?) gear on, even if we can't see all of him.
