Say What Reacts (Anitra)

Yixing is truly an amazing singer, and I was incredibly lucky to snag tickets to his concert for two consecutive days. I still vividly remember how nervous I was trying to get tickets for his birthday show on the 7th—there were just so many people vying for them, and my mind was filled with the fear that "if I don’t get a ticket, I won’t be able to make it to the venue." As expected, the tickets sold out in the blink of an eye the moment they went on sale, and quite a few Xbacks even cried on the spot because they couldn’t get theirs. (Here’s a little side story: Yixing himself was worried that fans might not be able to get tickets, so he secretly told everyone the ticket sale time in advance. How sweet is that? 😂) Both shows wrapped up perfectly in the end, but he ended up running a fever from overexertion. I heard that on the night after the wrap-up party, he quietly hid away and cried for a little while—my heart really aches for him。°(°¯᷄◠¯᷅°)°。. There are probably two reasons for his fever: on one hand, it was likely due to days of non-stop busyness and immense pressure; on the other hand, it rained continuously in Beijing a few days before the concerts, and the temperature was quite low. Yixing and all the performance teachers got caught in the rain during rehearsals, and many of the teachers even caught a cold because of it. We were all on tenterhooks back then, terrified that it would still rain on the concert days. After all, Yixing is extremely strict with his stage performances, and we were always worried that he would feel like he hadn’t done his best if the weather affected the show. Thankfully, fate seemed to take extra care of Yixing—the 6th and 7th (the concert days) were both bright and sunny, so we all jokingly called him our "Sunny Doll." Because right after the concerts ended, the weather turned cold again on the 8th, and it even poured rain. By the way, you can watch the full version of the 7th concert now—he specially livestreamed that show. On one hand, he wanted everyone to feel the collision between traditional culture and music; on the other hand, it was to let the Xbacks who couldn’t make it to the venue join in on this grand event too. He’s really thoughtful. (Yixing was so immersed in his performance on the 6th that he held back a lot more on the 7th. If you’re interested, you can also check out the fan-recorded clips from the 6th show—you’ll get to experience two totally different kinds of stage charm!) I’m not sure if you can do a full video reaction to these concerts, but I really hope you’ll take the time to watch them—they’re absolutely fantastic! Besides, his new album has been released overseas now 🤩, and I highly recommend giving it a listen; its style has some fresh changes compared to his previous works. What’s more, the MV for Naotiangong 《闹天宫》 is also in the works. Let’s all look forward to more surprises from Yixing!
