「テケテケ」延期+「花子さん」|Teke-Teke Delayed + Hanako-San updates

いつもありがとうございます。

お久しぶりです。

始めにNyxtalesとのコラボゲーム「テケテケ」についてです。

ツイッターで昨夜26日になるとつぶやいたのですが、

リリース日は9日でもなく26日でもありません!

発売を11月にさらに延期しました。

二度目の延期の理由としては今朝STEAMWORKSから直接メールが届いたらしく、次のセールとかなり近くなってしまうためセールが終わるまでゲームを出さない事を強くオススメされたからです。

恐らくSTEAMのページがセール情報でいっぱいになるからでしょう。

多くの皆さまが今日を楽しみにしていてくださっていたと思いますが、申し訳ありませんが、もうしばらくお待ちください!

やはりゲームと言うのはが完了したと思ったときに、問題が出てくるものですね…

また、発売日が近付いて明確なことが決まりましたら、お知らせします。


「花子さん」について

次に花子さんについてお話します。

只今、花子さんの制作に励んでいます。

花子さんを作る上で、いろんなゲームからインスピレーションをもらってプロトタイプしてきました。

インスピレーションをもらったゲームはホラータワーディフェンスであったりDon’t Starve、 Ice-Pick Lodgeの 2d ホラーゲームknock knock などです。

私たちは何か新しいことをしようと思っていました。ホラーシーンで今まで見たことのないものを。

しかし、簡単に思いつくものではなく、難航しました。

たくさん考えた末にわかったことがいくつかありました。

僕達はまだ赤マント、雪女、怨霊のいくつかの設計上の欠陥をどうにかする方法を見つけていないことに気づきました。

僕達は最終的にいつも時間が足りないと言ってアイディア通りにならず、苦い思いをしてきました。

怨霊もいつもとは違うゲームを作りたいと思い作ったゲームです。

しかし、前出した怨霊はまだ改善の余地があるため、みなさんが楽しめるようなより良いゲームに作り直したいと思っているということです。

全体として、ここ数週間、とにかくたくさん考えました。僕達は花子さんを作る上で10〜15のゲームアイディアを思いつき、その半分以上を試しました。

花子さんの内容についてまだ詳しいことはお伝えできません。

しかし、ベータ版を今月中に出したいと思っています。

Hello everyone,

It's been some time since we said anything proper on the internet.

First off,

Nyxtales have decided to push the release date from

October 9th (today) -> November.

I know many of you have been excited for tomorrow (I know we were too!), but the delay's gotta happen.

Many things just pop up right when you thought the game was complete.

It was actually something that Nyxtales have told us a couple of weeks back, but we couldn't really make up the mind to finally tell you guys.

Some updates on Project Hanako-San

Okay moving on to Hanako-san.

To cut to the chase, we're working our butts off to figure things out.

The game went through many prototyping stages before we finally decided to be on board with the current design. We tried the Tower defense horror game, a first-person resource management game (a simplified ver. of Don't Starve, but in school), another inspired by Ice-Pick Lodge's 2D scroller horror Knock-Knock except it's first-person, and some more that we're a little too shy to share haha...

We wanted to try something new. Something that we have never seen before in the horror scene. But that kind of idea doesn't come easy. So after some weird twists and turns to find that needle in the desert, we realized that we still haven't figured out a way around some design flaws of Aka Manto, Yuki Onna, and Onryo. We somehow end up saying we're short on time and have had many half-baked ideas that pain me to think about to this day.

So essentially, we're hoping that Hanako-san will be a game that AM & YO tried to be, which we're unfortunately still trying to figure out.

Onryo, on the other hand, is going to get a proper remake. Not a triple-A kinda remake, but more of a literal remake with a cleaner focus on the camera combat that I think the game did really well in and remove that Aka Manto design the game got force-fed.

All in all, just thinking A LOT these past several weeks. We probably came up with like 10~15 pitches for this game and tried at least half of them.

Also some extra things I want to mention about the horror game community.

Phasmophobia just released and it's honestly blowing our minds how much horror game has left to offer. I think Pacify did the same to me back when it came out, but didn't quite hit as hard as this game. I was honestly surprised how long it took for a game like this to come out after Pacify. Pacify did an incredible job even with asset flips and a simple simple game design. And we, of course aren't gonna stay quiet. I don't know when it'll be, but the big fat M-Player is certainly coming your way.

Also an indie game called "Dreader" came out and it's great. In me, it's was the next No-player online. I'm just so stunned by how no one took that idea during all this time. Well maybe someone did, but I just personally haven't seen any that's this well done. https://donitz.itch.io/dreader

We played that as well ^ ^ I think I liked Dreader more because of the meme aspect of it and the gameplay honestly had me more in the tunnel vision. Both very good example of a build up before a jump scare. Also I think Ikai did a similar thing where you have to quickly draw a kanji before enemies show up. Definitely considering those mechanics. Not sure if we're gonna implement it on Hanako-san though.

Everything's fine! Just lots and lots of trial and errors. Taking baby steps to get what we want :)

Thanks for the update! 👍🏻 Dreader is awesome! There’s a similar game called Cain that’s pretty good too that you can find on Itch.
