1/ the face : I didn’t want to take Sarah Douglas ‘face. I took the opposite : Douglas has a short face I made it pretty long , put a little more length in the hair and put it back. A little Cruelty in the attitude and I get her !!!
2/ the costume : more difficult. The suits in Superman 2 don’t really fit in my opinion. Ursa is a soldier who has been a prisoner in Ghost zone for years. She might have 3 types of suits :
- A uniform from Zod’s army
- A combat uniform from Zod’s Army
- A prisoner uniform
I thought that Kryptonian judges wouldn’t have let her with a combat suit. She could have worn a prisoner uniform, but as “open minded people”, they could have let her show her ideas by wearing her uniform as a soldier. So she will wear a uniform.
About the uniforms design in SF we meet usually 3 types of uniforms :
- Nazi inspired uniforms. Usually good in style (original ones were created by Hugo Boss) but saw too often… (Star wars, warhammer40k, Iron Sky, and many else…)
- Pyjamas as Star Trek
- Latex or vinyl outfit as you can see in 50’s, 60’s and 70’s movies
V was good enough to create different uniforms from what we see elsewhere, Rebels in Star wars had also pretty different designs but are not really an army. Knowing all of that I’ll try to create something different.
To stay in the same universe I will use Zod’s symbol on it. (In Man of Steel movie every Zod’s soldier have their family symbol on their combat suits. It is not coherent : Zod is a dictator, personality doesn’t exists before him) .
I’ll try to do her sexy and I’ll keep the high boots and fetish look (Hey ! It’s me !))
