Medieval Times (Series): The Unwavering Princess
A special collection of original characters from Medieval times.
Backstory:
Having lost her mother early into childhood, her father the King, decided his daughter would have to toughen up in order to survive the harsh reality of life, and so that she wouldn't be left powerless if something ever happened to him. And toughen up she did! Thirsty for every new challenge put before her and craving hardship that most people would run away from, she built herself both physically and mentally as a formidable and capable young woman.
During her teenage years, her curiosity and desire increasingly became an issue for the guardians tasked with protecting her. She would regularly evade them, and go on adventures outside the castle walls, and it soon became apparent that they were simply powerless in stopping her appetite for discovery. Her father the King, unable in his right mind, to deny his daughter the knowledge she craved, finally had a brilliant idea to solve the problem at hand and try to instill a sense of responsibility into the actions of his daughter. He created a new royal guard unit dedicated to protecting the princess, and put her in charge of it. She was ecstatic with the show of confidence from her father and welcomed her first official responsibility with the upmost eagerness. Over months she methodically constructed her unit, personally trained them, devised protocols, crafted her emblem and colors, and organized various events, expeditions or public demonstrations.
And it wasn't long before talk of the formidable new princess guard spread all through the kingdom, inspiring legend and stories for some, and dreams of knighthood for others. At one point, the recognition of the princess guard was so high that it arguably surpassed the reputation of even the King's guard. Her clever father recognized her immense success and on her 18th birthday, rewarded her by placing all Royal guard units under her capable care.
The King was finally at peace with the security of his daughter. He no longer had a single doubt regarding her capacity to face life on her own, regardless of what she would find in her path. However a different question had been forming in his mind... where on earth would she find a suitable candidate for marriage...
