Added 2020-06-18 13:46:25 +0000 UTCNo word of a lie guys, I'm having a very hard time going back to drawing popular stuff. This past week I've just been way too interested in drawing 5th Capsule.
Gradius is in a place far away from Cobter and it's exciting to see what this country looks like . I made the map for Kalmen in 2012 with climate and topography and etc, and for 8 years I've been waiting for Grad to go north.
You may think that me wanting to draw 5C should be the norm but it isn't. 5th Capsule is like a tap that is turned on full blast or off completely and neither are in my control it would seem.
So when creativity strikes and the tap is open, I just go with it. Today i am already on page 17 / 18 of the 7th Arc.
All the other characters I draw to make ends meet on my main channel on instagram are very separate and shallow to me. I can't relate to any of them. And some of them have such nitpicky fanbases and very specific lore that I know I will never be able to please fully. I do like the execution of it though.
With 5C characters, I know them as if they are people I know. I know what they'd do in any situation, when I close my eyes I can see the whole story in motion with sound.
I'll post pages in the late 20's this month!

Over the time I've followed your work I've grown to really love your 5th Capsule story as well. Definitely look forward to any time I can learn more about your characters!

2020-06-20 16:07:20 +0000 UTCAs someone who also doesn't like to draw fan art either, I'm honestly surprised you can draw fan art at all while doing 5C. As I produce my own comic book, all my creativity is set for that story and I don't ever want to draw anything else. I feel so far disconnected from fan art because it's not actually mine and feels dull and lifeless... I guess what I'm trying to say is that I feel every fiber of this and you should feel this sort of dedication to your story! Can't wait to jump back in to some 5C this month!!
