My daughter and I run a high school DnD club. It is loads of fun and a whole different ball game. I ran a game for the grands as well. Don't miss the opportunity, it will light you up and help remember why you started playing DnD in the first place. I know there is at least one other DM that does high school on the DMLair discord.

2022-11-19 22:33:57 +0000 UTCI ran a group of 8-10 year old kids using "Hero Kids" system https://www.drivethrurpg.com/m/product/115827. Instead of killing, the opponents get knocked out. It is also simpler mechanics using only D6s. Could easily take the concept and scenarios to D&D.

2022-11-18 11:34:37 +0000 UTCI second that. My nephew and his friends are starting to pick interest in D&D (he also loves the stories of my current campaign) and I would love to run a small adventure for them, but so far I only DM'd for adults so some pointers would be greatly appreciated.
2022-11-17 21:30:06 +0000 UTCHopefully not just carers will vote, and if the video touches on other aspects like ADHD and autism would be great as many of our youth with those hurdles haven't become proficient in self regulating yet. But it's true it would be a pick that means a lot to the minority, not a poll winner.

2022-11-17 21:03:58 +0000 UTCI don't think the kids/teens video will ever win (probably because the ratio of parents and caregivers is just lower), but if you ever find it in the goodness of your heart to do that video, I'm sure many here would appreciate it, as the children around us watch us play D&D and want to play, but it's obviously a different beast when running for someone younger.
