A Rough Cut Of Next Weeks Video! AND LIVESTREAM TOMORROW NIGHT

so after a couple of days of messing with this, it is coming together!

i seemed to have forgot to pick up a linkage for it, and also the sustain bellows are not hooked up, ill cover this, tuning and also adding a vacuum pump to it in a subsequent video in a few weeks.

as for midifying, i dont think i will do it to this piano, it is amazing how it is, it just needs an electric motor to drive it. the fact it is such a good and original example (unlike the organ was) i think maintaining its original function is to be desired. who knows maybe a midi addon to the front will be in order using solenoids. but i might get another piano for that! as always wanted to bash together a self playing piano!.

i have since oiled the foot pedals and it sounds much better and a conclusion to the video and a better ending song.

at 7:30pm tomorrow evening uk time i will be doing an hour livestream (i dont think i can do more as i would need calves of steel to keep pumping!) going through a few rolls on it. so keep an eye out for that tomorrow!

PEACE.

I never knew how much player pianos sucked, until now! Thanks, Sam

I could imagine not much work to get that to work with weight. Didn't know some did that.

Unfortunately the keys don't seem to go down while playing in this system, that has always been a funny aspect of a lot of player pianos... But cool that it's working!

It would be difficult to add MIDI to play the piano, but dead simple to add switches to the piano to play the organ, and with some percussion you could make a MIDI Orchestrion !
