Woven memory sequencer part 4
Added 2022-01-20 22:10:37 +0000 UTCHere we look at the multiplexing circuit that should drive the wires that will be woven into the cores. I will put together a schematic and do another livestream or putting this to strip board I think I still need to do a bit of fine tuning.

Yeah I see! That’s why I need to multiplex it all I guess because then it would be 1 wire for the kick drum and 1 wire for the high hat. But I see what you mean now! Yeah. I’ll think long and hard about this 😂

Like boom tst tst tst boom tst tst tst : two steps with only the bass drum and six with the high hat You could program that with only two wires, one for step one and four for the boom, and one for the other six steps.

2022-01-20 22:35:48 +0000 UTCAh, yes, I remember you mentioning that now. It all makes sense. With the one wire per step scheme, one advantage would be that you might be able to use the same wire for identical steps.
