Not true abyssals, all Tumor Towers are born from a single womb. They fled into the abyss seeking asylum from their own universe's collapse, dragging the remains of their corpulent hive with them.
The location and identity of the Tumor Queen is unknown, but it had to be a being of stupendous power and woefully terrible fortune to deserve such loathsome progeny.
