Added 2020-10-16 19:02:30 +0000 UTCOkay. So here's an example of no tones. Sketch is cleaned up to the same point, but i only filled the absolute necessities to keep it reading clearly. This took 70 minutes, but the palamute is more time consuming than alolan meowth, for instance. My felyne pics are always like 2 or 3 hours, it feels, so this is still fast in comparison.
So yeah, i dunno. Would you guys be unhappy with sketches like this? that are actually sketches, and not low res grayscale color jobs?

From the people who decided to tell me their opinion, this seems to be the consensus. I'm happy to do it, i just feel bad for people with ideas i didn't choose.

2020-10-16 19:13:49 +0000 UTCI'd certainly prefer fewer toned sketches than more toneless ones. The toned ones are much more enjoyable to look at on their own instead of having to wait for them to maybe be finished some day.
