I've been spending my time in bed watching some let's plays of an old hamtaro game. Dude has a lot of pokemon romhack playthroughs that are fun to mellow out to, but holy shit was this game just oozing with charm.

I hardly ever watched hamtaro back when i was a kid, but i remember thinking Bijou and her ridiculous french accent were just a d o r a b l e, and i simply had to doodle her.

I've been commissioned to draw a couple hamtaro-related things in my 'career' as an artist, and the fact that their heads are so different looking from the side vs the front has always thrown me for a loop. I need to adjust this a little bit, her eye needs more bedroom to it imo.

Anyway! Just a pencil doodle. Sorry for the pic quality, maybe i should get a cheap scanner if i'm going to keep doing these?

looking back at this one sketch i did in Procreate, that program REALLY seems to nail the look and feel of pencil on paper sketching. I see why so many traditional artists are fond of it.
