Problems in Paradise (IV)
Added 2024-05-15 10:56:13 +0000 UTCWell, it looks like the issue has been diagnosed. Today the tech support called me and told me they changed the motherboard and processor.
They told me they hadn't found any game installed in the computer so they couldn't do a stress test, then I told them what I use the computer for. Not to play games, but to make one game. The game with the best community in the world.
After some questions, and sending them the link to the game page when they showed interest in My Dorm, (if you are reading this, my friendly tech, welcome π€£) they asked me if they could render any image to test it. The Daz scene files aren't stored in that computer, but on my NAS, so I connected remotely (after they opened their firewall for me) and sent a random render to the computer. It is the one shown here (Saira's My Residence scene for those not on her path). It rendered nicely but "too fast" to stress TheBeast (4:40 minutes). The GPU didn't go above 52ΒΊC (125ΒΊF).
They asked for a bigger thing and I sent a 216-frame lewd animation from Saira's night scene (yes, Saira will finally get some action in the next update). It will take around 13 hours to render if there isn't any issue. It's rendering now and they will leave the computer doing the renders until tomorrow.
Funny thing: While rendering the first frames of the animation, I kept opening windows to check the render performance and looking at the finished frames to see if it rendered them well. I placed the windows in strategic positions to not create a problem for the guy if someone entered the workshop and saw an Indian hottie being pounded. Those windows minimized mysteriously from time to time. I guess he wanted to show what I was doing to his co-workers for... professional reasons π€£.
The tech service is behaving very professionally and he told me they expect to ship the computer tomorrow or on Friday if everything goes as expected. So I hope to get the computer back on Friday or Monday at the latest.
My only regret is that they will see Saira's renders before you.

My candidates were the mainboard and the PSU. It was also the processor and the PSU looks like it's in a good state.

That's what worries me the most. I think I lost a two or three days of development with all the process.
