September Snapshot #2 + 'Bun Sausage' Animation

Welcome back to another snapshot! I wanted to offer a warm welcome all the newcomers to my blog of ideas and content, thanks for supporting my coffee budget! That goes the same for all of you, its been very motivating!

On to the business...

I've been exceptionally busy these past two weeks formulating innumerable sketches and draft designs for various concepts. Both my animation projects are well underway and I can say that in my effort all the keys for both have been completed for principle animation! >add confetti here<

As mentioned in the last snapshot I wanted to consolidate my prototype animations with these entries to prevent too much posting spam. The source files and behind the scenes content for this will also be made available to Patreon Producers keen on exploring the breakdown.

Some of you might have noticed that the video resolution has increased with some of the latest submissions. That is because I have committed myself to HD as a new standard for all my projects (for the time being 1280x720 resolution.) The ongoing projects I have in the works will be completed in the format they started out in but all future projects will be done in this manner. This has also affected the way I sketch out scenes since the previous brush sizes were considered too small, this in turn created some visually interesting brush strokes that I want to explore more in future projects. Its also possible I might go back to give some of the other prototypes to give them a more polished look in my free time. If this is something that appeals to you all, I'll throw up a poll on what project I should look to refurbishing (personal projects being the only limitation to this).

In addition to animations I've also taken time to play around a bit with draftsmanship, particularly with people's OCs and unique characters. I've posted a few samples here for you to enjoy, among them, you might recognize from my postings on Ko-fi and other venues.

Commission changes...

Lastly I wanted to cover my project workflow and my plans for commissions in the future. Demand for my services has been getting rather high as of late and as a single animator I have to find methods of managing this demand. Normally this results in a rise in prices for projects to moderate this influx. I've also looked at a few models to see how to best approach this in a way that would be easier to understand as well, so I've put together a new commission document outlining my offerings that will select the most popular time frames and formats people like. This new update will not go into effect until next week and will also not affect anyone who has already requested a commission, legacy prices and services will be rendered as they were when the requests were made. I have a very organized document keeping track of everyone so you need not worry about these price changes if you're still waiting for your project to come through. Of course if you have questions you are absolutely free to ask me about them, I'm available here, FA and Patreon for all inquiries.

In addition to the price and project options I'm also formulating a workflow that will allow me a means to measure the length of time for projects, this might involve consolidating my workflow to one project at a time to cover ground more quickly after the request was made, normally I can accomplish about 5-6 seconds on average per week depending on how involved shots get - sometimes as long as 10 seconds. What's important to take away from this is that because of this interest from various parties I have been carefully crafting a formula that accommodates quality animations in a timely manner while also balancing my irl commitments elsewhere. I'll likely make a few alterations here or there but for the most part this is the current plan.

So! Have a cup of warm coffee (or tea), flip through the content and enjoy yourself until the next posting! Thanks again for taking the time to read through this myriad of ideas & explanations, also be sure to let me know what your thoughts are about some of the ideas I floated earlier, I'm keen to know where to take my weekend marathons to next.
