2025-05-09 20:44:04 +0000 UTCWe know from S1 that Buffy lives near downtown and the cemetery (see 1.01 and 1.07, notably), whereas Xander and Willow live near each other and the school (see 1.11 and 1.12, for example). Xander "commutes" to school on his skateboard, but Joyce usually drives Buffy. This and other indications lead me to think it's at least a few miles from the school to 1630 Revello, which IMO would be time enough for the sun to set.

True that he didnβt take advantage of the situation with Buffy but also true that he is rewarded in the end, he gets to be with Cordelia. Common theme throughout the episode is spurned love as we see with Xander and Cordelia of course, but Jenny and Giles, Spike and Drusilla. Did you notice that every time Xander tried to barricade a door it hilariously opens the other way and lets everybody in. So funny!
