2024-11-24 13:57:36 +0000 UTCI love seeing reactors get to this episode, not only is it just an excellent episode all around but this is the first situation where we see chaos descend on Sunnydale in general… and how good the Sunnydale residents are at blowing off the weirdness.. and it’s not a spoiler to say it won’t be the last time we see chaos spread throughout the little town 🤣🤣🤣

Speaking of the fighting on the show SMG ( Sarah Michelle Gellar) had a brown belt in Taekwondo before she was cast as Buffy. She went on to earn a black belt and also studied Kickboxing and Streetfighting so she could do as many students as the network would allow. Also the year before Buffy started she had earned a Daytime Emmy for her role of Kendal Heart on All My Children.

2024-11-21 09:11:38 +0000 UTCThis is one of the classics Buffy episode. It’s evident why. There’s so much to dissect and you got the gist of it on first viewing. Drusilla, as we’ve seen since her first appearance, seems to have some kind of premonitions. Her ramblings are not completely random either. She asks Spike “do you like my insides, the parts you can’t see?”. That’s exactly what Ethan spell reveals about the cast affected by their costumes. Spike’s answer is obviously delightfully creepy “eyeball to entrails, my sweet” and “romantic” he loves her inside out 😜. Another example of great writing, the fact that Cordelia doesn’t change even in costume, is useful to further the plot and lead to the resolution. But it also demonstrates that Cordelia is who she is, no inner truth to be discovered. I am so glad that you’re enjoying this, soon you’ll be as obsessed as we all are with this show. Have fun!

2024-11-21 08:29:34 +0000 UTCI’m usually not a fan of holiday episodes but Buffy does Halloween right! Also, “pet” can be used (like it is here) as a term of endearment. Think of it as a way of saying babe or sweetheart… but British 😂

They literally have a college course on this show because of the double meanings as well as insightfulness and metaphors that occur throughout the series. Ripper has arrived! Definitely one of the more iconic episodes from these early seasons and such a fan favorite, which I'm sure you already figured it would be. Who doesn't love a fun and well done Halloween episode? I think it's tragic how Buffy has so much trouble accepting her fate as the slayer, that it changes things for her and that she can't live a normal life. Not that I blame her, obviously. That's an incredibly tough pill to swallow, one that we've seen her struggle with from as notably as the third episode of the show where she wanted to be a cheerleader for some semblance of normalcy Also, for the love of god, please give your dog extra pets from all of us here on Patreon--they deserve them!
