Not only are they both braiding Willow's hair, but if you notice, Buffy is just kind twirling her hair around (makes sense for a girl with no sisters) while Xander's braids are perfect because he's done this with Willow so ofte.

Feels so tonally different in such a jarring way compared to Cordelia and Buffy getting roofied into a sexual assault metaphor and battling the trials and tribulations of generational wealth analogies And you're right--the prosthetic makeup and effects for the reptile boy are so good! Especially for a 90's TV show with the budget they had Also really love how much more Cordelia is being weaved into the group. Although, she probably doesn't love being wrapped up in monster-of-the-week plots every chance she gets lol
