A new perspective was exactly what you had been looking for, and yet it is not what you had wanted to discover. You hope this visit will center yourself, and your goals. After all, this is the breeding ground for your ultimate plans. You are here to check up on the progress that has been made. Yet, part of you wants to enjoy yourself. To relax. You want to indulge yourself in new found human interests. Your object of curiosity resides behind Aser Hill walls anyway. It couldn't hurt. Besides, you didn't take all those notes for nothing.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas! Little Lady Despina is back! In this audio you listen to a letter between the Cytus sisters and Despina. Not too much has gone on between the months apart, but that is soon to change! The residents of Aser Hill have an important guest, and Despina is tasked by her mother Rixas to guide them around. This is a terrifying prospect to Despina, but she must go on. Turns out the guest is a very familiar face. I am very happy to continue this series! I really liked reading a few recent comments and theories surrounding Seia, Despina and Rixas. I hope this will give even more insight into the life of Despina before the crown. Oops, didn't realize before that Ardor does appear in such a prominent position on the lore page (and his name being dropped elswhere). So maybe that makes the vampire part of my theory much less likely. But the rest would still fit. Although... we cannot even be too sure that Lady Rixas herself is actually from Penkos. So dovetails into my much earlier thoughts that nothing good comes from the Land of Lamentation.

It’s so sad to see the cruelty inflicted on her, both directly in the scene with her mother, and through the cringing reaction when she asks for punishment herself from Ardor when she thinks she has made a mistake in etiquette. It’s a bonus to get another glimpse on Vesper and Cinna. I love this eccentric-archmage-and-tsundere-archmage duo (couple?). Now for the speculation: Lord Ardor/More seems not be a human, but looking similar enough to mingle, although he is very pale. Rixas has come from an obscure background but somehow managed to marry the head of one of the most prominent houses. And so far charm does not seem her strong suit. Lady Rixas is uncharacteristically anxious about Ardor’s visit. Vampires of Morena are both very powerful and grant wishes. So my theory is that Ardor is actually a vampire and a pact with him has gained Rixas her current position. And now she hopes to gain even more power with his help. If Despina plays a key part in this plan, that would also explain why she is to guide the guest of honour rather than her older brothers as etiquette seems to suggest. That way Ardor has a chance to inspect her more closely.
