We looked at a variety of inspirations when putting this piece together, with imagery influenced my the Art Nouveau and Deco periods, we wanted Nadia to be obscenely bejeweled in this piece, I interpreted her as corrupted by all this gold and wealth so I aimed to explore that in this portrait!
