Reader Mail for April Loose Ends

Expect Tom to talk about RX 9060 XT Supply, Intel Price Drops, and new details about PSSR / FSR 4 in tomorrow's livestream...but otherwise as a reminder, here is what MLID covered over the past 4 weeks:

You have ~18 hours (till Thursday ~noon) to submit below!

Hi Tom, (probably too late) A lot of my interest revolves around server CPUs and with AMD recently confirming Venice, I'd be interested in knowing if there are any additional specs that you have recently learnt about. Particularly relating to memory bandwidth per-core. Some rumors have noted a potential upping to 16 memory channels, assumed with an increases in DDR5 speeds. Is this something your aware of? And have there been any early rumors about Venice's successor? Thanks

Not Site if already to Late. Hi Tom. I want to building a new AMD Desktop/Workstation with a 9070XT and 2x 2 Port 25GbE NICs, 25GbE Internet here init7.net :-). I looked first at a AM5 build, but the PCIe lanes are limited. It would be enough for me to have one PCIE 5x16 lane slot and at least two (better three) PCIE 4x16 lane slots. Are the PCIE lanes technically limited by the AM5 socket? Or could a ZEN 6 CPU have more lanes? 48 lanes for PCI slots would be enough, don't really need threadripper pro / epyc level of lanes. To bad that there is such a big gap between ryzen and threadripper cpus. Is there a anticipated release date for threadripper 9000? I hope that Intel Granite Rapids makes some pressure to AMD to release more options above ryzen cpus
