2024-08-23 21:57:33 +0000 UTCNot to sound like some weirdo men’s rights activist type but the reaction Annie had to Hughie is really bizarre. I can’t imagine this show having the shapeshifter taking Hughies form, have sex with Annie multiple times, play with her emotions by proposing to her, and then when the truth hits having the real Hughie grill Annie for “cheating” and saying the shapeshifter seduced her by not having any flaws, and then have her redeemed by agreeing to take an std test to prove the person that coerced her to have sex under false pretenses (i.e. rape) didn’t dirty or sully her, and then playing it off as some wholesome moment. Sure, it’s purely hypothetical like you said, but the tone is still really bothersome.
