2023-09-29 16:28:41 +0000 UTCi mean, yeah, Gotôge-sensei didn't draw them extremely big, but the unecessary cleavages and impractical skimpy clothes are still there (they're kunoichi, why do they have that kind of clothes?! wouldn't they need to be stealthy? xd). Gotôge-sensei doesn't put too much attention to it compared to other mangaka, but their drawings of women are still pretty sexualized, with no real reason... like, why Mitsuri has a b00b window like Power Girl, but Shinobu is drawn just fine?

2023-09-29 16:26:31 +0000 UTCa little reminder: Kyôjurô = the Hashira we met on Mugen Train, Senjurô = the younger brother, and Shinjurô = the dad. and yeah, it's really not necessary to show the cleavages and boobs. especially when - as you said - Nezuko was one of the few not sexualized female characters of the series and even more because she's like 14? i mean, i know fanservice and women with big b00bs are a part of shônen manga/anime, sure, whatever, and when you are a kid you don't really mind, but it's really not necessary, it's there just... because. i'm not even sure if it good for sales or anything, like it doesn't add anything more than something for horny teenagers once in a while. this is purely anecdotal, so take it with a grain of salt, but i remember that a few years ago i was on a talk where a comicbook artist - that worked for big publishers - was interviewed and he said that Marvel's editors (and i believe DC's too, iirc) especifically told artists to draw women in certain poses and accentuate their features in a sexualized way, even if the artist didn't usually draw that way the editors "suggested" it. so it's totally intentional... and i dunno, it reminds me of this fan service we often see in anime and manga too, and that feels gratuitous and like an extremely dated way of depicting women (and, a lot of times, men too, with unbelievable six packs and muscles that don't even exist xd). i suppose those things sell, but i'm not really sure, i feel like it's more that editors and producers just got used to it, like "this is the way we did things, so we'll just keep doing it", but never grew out of it. and it's weird, because when you're already hooked on an anime (or any piece of entertainment with a narrative) because of the story or the characters, fanservice should be not even secondary, but usually it keeps appearing... like, i don't think people watch an anime that's not specifically about that kind of fanservice for 20+ episodes just because it occasionally show big b00bs... it's very odd xd but yeah, just "yelling at clouds" here. don't mind me.

Uzui's wives actually have different breast sizes in the manga - you know, like real women - while Suma's are big, while Hinatsuru's are relatively small. And, as a woman, I appreciated that multiplicity of representation. 2023-09-29 13:27:44 +0000 UTCThe demons forget their past usually until their dying that's why it was so surprising to the hashira that nezuko was able to have restraint when it comes to eating humans, like zombies they lose most of who they were, basically muzan is taking advantage of people he is the true evil even though a few demons like enmu were probably pretty evil as humans as well
