Dooku is essentially correct. The Republic is corrupt, the Jedi Order is an ossified elitist group that has lost touch with the common people. But then the only counter point to that corruption is the evil of Palpatine, who Dooku and later Anakin fall into the orbit of. If I was the arbiter of the Star Wars universe I would have had QuiGon Jinn (the last TRUE Jedi in my opinion) replace Yoda as Luke’s trainer. He seems to understand the nature of the force more than anyone else.
