Attack on Titan S04E20 'Memories of the Future' - FULL REACTION!

Comments

I'd argue Eren is the only Attack Titan, and that him reaching the coordinate and obtaining Ymir's power, created a timeloop where he created the Attack Titan always ends up fighting for freedom.

Jason McCaslin

You are first reactors to understand Eren is the last Attack Titan on the line, seconds after watching the episode.Great reaction, thank you!!!!

Bogdan Turda

Grisha wanted Zeke to stop Eren because he himself know it that he can't do anything to stop Eren. It's like passing the baton to Zeke.

kenshin

Sorry yeah you're absolutely right its Grishas memories

Malak

I think what we got as viewers was the montage of it. For them they spent years combing through everything since Zeke was persistent on finding signs of brainwashing by Grisha. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but it was Grisha's memories specifically, right? Not Eren's (yes I know technically eren has grishas memories so it's his as well)?

Mukatutu

hellooo

DRnotz

Well, I know in the manga for sure they address this point, Zeke specifically should talk about it next episode, no? Even if Grisha asked Zeke to stop Eren, there are many and various considerations regarding entrusting the Founder to a young Eren.

David Caine

Eren being disgusted with this memory not because Grisha crushed those kids but because he couldn't is just mindblowing for me...

Tim Zaum

They spent years. Eren said it himself

Sebastian

Still needed to secure Erens safety,Mikasa Armin and everyone else

Gu

learning about Carla's death made him do it, he also knew that the future he saw can't be changed so he knew that even if he doesnt give Eren the titans then Eren will end up with them somehow anyway

Azmaing1

One thing that bugs me in this episode is if Grisha wants Eren to be stopped then he could have easily not inject him with Titan spinal fluid and not given him Attack and Founding Titan. My only guess in Eren's manipulation continued on and Grisha had no choice.

MrBo2

Crazy! If the attack titan can see into their future inheritors memories, then you get a time paradox. Where the choices of previous holders end up with the last attack titan whose choices determined what happened in the past... Don't know how it ends but that would make sense why the attack titan is always striving for freedom no matter the era. That would all be from Erens will

Chris V

*in a singsongy voice * It was Errrren all along!

Joseph Sanchez

One really important line in this episode: “the future is already decided” -Griesha. The time aspect can be a little confusing, but this line marks that time is set in stone in aot. Im impressed how Kat captured the ability of the attack titan perfectly in the discussion, good job! And nice reaction, excited for next one (try to remember the title of the very first episode before you watch it)

kavus Latifi

The Attack Titans ability is to be able to see future memories of the Attack Titan inheritors, not just bluntly see the future like a Dr. Strange or something.

NissanZaxima

I wish I can see the future so that I can watch you future reactions lol

Rhaizen

Grisha stole map of the royal chapel there. Good thing kenny did not notice.

MrBo2

Did you notice we got a glimpse of KENNY! this episode

Malak

Does anyone know how long Eren and Zeke actually spend in Eren's memories? (how long meaning how long it felt for them). I got the impression it was 'years' but was it basically a montage of Eren's life rather than reliving the whole thing.

Malak

This one takes everyone by surprise. Phenomenal!

Tomasz

This is really mind twisting thing, you should really ponder things through even after this discussion more what really happened. Let's go not too many episodes left :D PS. Everything about Eren's "REAL" goal is again showed in this episode.

Thamor

I love the plot twist in this episode so much. Attack on Titan: Directed by Eren Yeager Based on the story by Eren Yeager Eren Yeager as Eren Yeager

Jawar

Eren looking at Zeke like 'wtf are daddy issues? Just traumatize him back"

Andrew G

this episode is so goddamn wild lol. When Grisha's under that church and Frieda turns him down, the way he flinches and just stops moving and looks over his shoulder with that FEAR in his eyes knowing Eren is standing right there watching him might be top 3 favorite scenes in the series for me lol and, I gotta link my personal favorite and spoiler-free image macro that came out of these last two episodes https://i.pinimg.com/originals/07/3b/47/073b473b1bf4d7fc84be586c085e5e45.jpg Idk what it is that makes it so funny to me but it just kills me every goddamn time lol

Andrew G

I like the fact that Eren told Grisha not to kill Historia’s dad because if Eren didn’t he wouldn’t have never kissed Historia’s hand and seen everything!🤯

Elder

I think Eren actually wanted to give Zeke peace, after all it was Eren who allowed Grisha and Zeke to reunite

Azmaing1

Eren UNO reversed daddy issues so much so that he gave Grisha Eren issues. Can't wait for the discussion for the next few episodes!

april 🍏

Imagine believing 1+1=3 only to have someone proves it’s actually = 2. In a way I think Eren wants to guilt-trip Zeke after all the remarks he made at the beginning by taking the pilot seat, besides from proving Zeke wrong and etc.

Chikᶠⁱˡa

it's not just the Founding titan, if Eren didn't have the Attack titan then he wouldn't be able to interact with Grisha or send him memories. And if Grisha didn't have the Attack titan then he wouldn't be able to receive those memories or be interacted with. So both the Founder and the Attack titan are vital in this situation (and also the fact that the founding power is fully unlocked thanks to Zeke's royal blood) and that's also the reason why Eren is the only one who can do that, no one else in history had this combo before

Azmaing1

What's often missed about this episode is that the Attack Titan's 'ability' to see the future isn't even actually an ability of the Attack Titan. It's just Eren using the founding titan. Grisha believes the Attack Titan can see the future because Eren has been showing him the future. This means Eren must have also showed Krueger the future in that moment where he mentioned Armin and Mikasa. It was all Eren, all along.

Hannah N

They were too confused to be caught offguard and frustrated by the "To Be Continued" screen 😂😂😂

Jim Nasium

Grisha saw Zeke through Eren. Note that Eren was always behind Grisha every time he saw Grisha Zeke. Eren also said the same thing the owl had said to Grisha before giving him the Attacking Titan
