Korra was 17 during the first season, so she is either still 17 or 18 years old.
2021-02-17 19:59:00 +0000 UTCConcerning the "spirit bending" it's never 100% explained, but it is a purely waterbending move. Most sense I make of it is, consider the healing waterbenders can do. It's explained as "guiding" the energy in the body to help it heal, hence it's also not miracle cure it all healing. I think the spirit bending builds onto that, rebalancing and guiding the energy within the spirit dissolving the upset state. Since spirit are not physical but energy beings, kinda "purifying" them. Spirits react to their environment a lot more directly, think of it as blasting them with positive, peaceful energy maybe. :-)
