I looked up the language on the beach sign at the end and it's apparently in the Xhosa language of S. Africa and Zimbabwe. Above the Earth, it looked like it was heading toward the coast of Western Europe but maybe it took a zig and a zag in the atmosphere.

Its kind of cool that Marco figured out that they cannot throw rocks coming from the direction of Mars because that is what Earth has been watching for for a long time! Details are unbelievable on this show.

2020-12-20 18:45:43 +0000 UTCI am just guessing there is not end of the joke and it is a metaphor for all of the answers we may never get because, hey, that's life!! One of the infuriating things about The Expanse is all the dangling questions one does not get finality or closure with but again, that is true about our lives as well. I really liked in S3E13 when Amos states that "that's what dying is, leaving unfinished business" and he is exactly right.

It was refreshing for me, because as a marxist, all I've heard is mostly liberals direct the show's politics, and I've always been curious about the writers' thought process behind the politics. To me, among other things, The Expanse is a look into the working class's future if the US doesn't have a revolution in the next decade. The scientist estimates a blast impact of the asteroid at 1-4 Megatons (medium sized nuke), but he was using an estimate of 30,000 KPH when it hits Earth. We know from the end of S4 that Marco is accelerating these rocks, and the Rock #9 at the beginning of E1 had an estimated impact of 21 Megatons.... which is roughly 1,000 times the impact strength of the bomb dropped on Nagasaki, and almost half the strength of the largest nuke ever detonated (Tsar Bomba, 50 MT)
