Here I am, excited to share another PreviouslyPublished title with you, lovely Hunters and Shamans: it's Wonders Wild & Deep!
Those of you who already familiarized themselves with Partizan will probably notice the similarities between the two; indeed, Partizan is sort of an "expanded, less OSR-focused" version of this game.
However, Wonders Wild & Deep is a pocket game: both booklets are in pocketmod format, and its sheets can be folded in two, making for a small game you can take with you on a picnic or vacation. The system is designed around old school-style dungeon and wilderness exploration, abstracting several concepts such as gear and supplies in order to speed up play. However, the game is strongly focused on resource management: it's sort of a "pocket Torchbearer".
Among the donwloadable files below you'll also find a .pdf for a papercraft box designed to fit the game, some dice, pencils and stuff (although I myself use a small tin box to carry it around). I strongly suggest using small IKEA pencils and some six-sided dice with a cool symbol or picture on the 6 side (we've been having a good time with white dice from Dungeon Fighter, which only have a symbol on one side).
I've been hearing good things about the way this game handles classic OSR modules, and I hope you'll get a chance to try it with your friends - character creation is really fast and you'll be fighting basilisks and delving into caverns within 10-15 minutes.
