2025-04-21 21:42:00 +0000 UTCi like how some hands are gentle, just petting or holding her, while others are more aggressive like pinching or grabbing hard onto her feathers. but no matter what each hand individually is doing, theyre all contributing in some way to that fundamental sort of disconnect and otherness, because talita is both held down and kept safe by this wall of human hands all around her. reminds me a lot of my own experiences being mixed races

The fact that there's another version of her she will never be or even recognize. Being trapped by the constraints of your birth and those around you. Forced to never socially relate to your own species, and never being anything but a social oddity in the one that adopted you. Glad you did more with this doodle :)
