“You look absolutely ridiculous, Pope. HAHA” My enjoyment kept multiplying as the face of that man kept getting paler.
“Shut up, shut up, and shut up! You’ve got no right to look down on me; I’m the Pope!” A snarl came out of his mouth.
“I have a question for you, and if you don’t answer it, I will shoot off your other arm.”
“I would never give you any information.”
“Hmm… you can be that way if you want, but I wouldn’t recommend it.” Pointing my finger at his right arm, I shot it off without a second thought. Right after I allowed him to scream in agony for a few minutes. Then, I poured a potion onto his recently injured arm. “So, will you answer me now?”
“What, what do you want to know?” He said as he was gasping for air from hyperventilating in pain.
“How much damage did you do to my dear family?” I asked quizzically.
“Why would you even care?” The pop scoffed.
“Because I want to kill them myself, and if you took away my targets, I’m going to make your death much worse. But, now I guess you will just lie to me, right? Hehehe, oh well.
“No one actually won that war; we just held on long enough for them to stop pushing forward. It was most likely because it was becoming too costly to continue.”
“That’s great news!”
Now I can have fun with my main dish later on with it sounding like not many of my future targets were affected. There’s no way any of those privileged princes would go to the front lines, and the princesses are obviously never used for that.
“Now, leave me alone! Get out of here this instant! The Pope stammered out.
At his words, I shot off his left and right legs. I did the same procedure as before, pouring the potion on the injured areas right after. All I could say about what I was seeing is how completely ridiculous he currently looked.
“People will start calling you baby Pope, hahaha.” Both his legs and arms were the size of a baby compared to his adult midsection and head. This is too good, hehehe.
“Screw you, you damned demon! You will rot in the very depths of hell for what you did!”
“You think so?” I walked to just where I was hovering right over his face. Placing my right index finger on his forehead, I unleashed a full blast of my current level of chaos magic. The Pope's head exploded just like a watermelon at a Gallagher show.
Well, that’s that; now let me get the hell out of here.
From the carnage left by my two minions, the front entrance of the cathedral was wide open. As I strolled out into the courtyard, a little off in the distance, I could see the both of them getting ripped apart by a great number of holy knights. Not like I cared about them anyway. You did your job well; congratulations.
I finally got the chance to feel the fresh air of freedom once again. It’s been about eight years since I’ve seen the sun. Sadly, I’m going to have to wait a bit longer before that, though. It was still nighttime outside, but my vision made it feel a lot like a sunny day. Having heightened senses sure is cheating.
As I made my way out of the front gate, I saw a carriage making its way right towards me with the church's emblem waving proudly. Could this be the Saintess? Whoever it is, they're about to give me a ride back to my original kingdom because I have no idea where to go with this being my actual first time out on my own.
There were give or take about twenty knights surrounding on all sides of the white carriage. It should be a piece of cake to take the Saintess hostage and get a ride. I hide high in a tree, waiting for my chance to strike as they travel right below my position.
The wind crinkling the leaves as they sway in the darkness of the night. The beautiful, shining stars throughout the sky, something you never saw back in my original world. Where I lived, it was always too bright outside at dark time to be a stargazer.
As my attention was towards the stars, the creaking of the wheels sounded as the carriage with the Saintess was just about to pass. Activating my shadow step, I leaped from the tree into the shadow of the carriage, very easily getting myself right into the cabin. Sadly, the Saintess was not alone; there seemed to be her maid on the bench across from her.
Well, this is a perfect chance for a late-night snack. Coming up out of the shadows, I wasted no time clamping down on the maid, startling the Saintess into stunned silence as she watched on. She had wide-open eyes, but at the same time I saw a bit of intrigue lingering in her expression.
After finishing my meal, I threw the blood bag to the ground and stared coldly at the Saintess. I watched on in silence as she fidgeted constantly, I’m sure hoping I would say something to change the mood. But she looked too damn cute with that terrified expression on her face.
“Fufufu, aren’t you just the cutest little thing.” I said as I licked my lips seductively.
Is it some kind of law that a Saintess has to be so beautiful, or is it just because they were blessed by a god? Just like in any story of my past life, the one who plays the Saintess is more than likely either the main character or the villain. Way too attractive not to be center stage.
The deer-in-headlights look she’s giving off is even making it better. She’s just too delicious to not take a bite out of. We will see how this talk goes. Does she deserve to be dominated or killed?
“So… did you have any part in my circumstance?” My fingernails extended out as I tapped the window waiting for her response.
“Umm… Who are you?”
“Don’t give me that bullshit, Saintess; you were there when I was sold off into the hell that is your church. I find you very attractive, enough to keep you alive because of it. But, if you test my patience, you will be motionless on the ground like your hired help.” I leaned a bit forward, placing my long nails onto her pinkish cheeks. Her body was visibly shaking at the interaction.
“I didn’t do anything!” She stammered. “That day I was dragged there because of the Pope. I had nothing to do with them taking you; I swear to Karthegin.”
“Hehehe, what does swearing to that useless god even do for you? I just killed the Pope as if he was a bug on the street, and your great god did nothing but watch.”
“Huh.” The Saintess gasped hard.
“Quite the scene was made for my departure; what can I do about it?” I shrug my shoulders.
“He’s dead, like really dead?” There was a bit of excitement in her voice.
“He’s about as dead as this blood bag.” My foot nudged the lifeless body a few times to get my point across.
If I didn’t know any better, I would say this Saintess wasn’t very fond of the Pope. “Did you hate that man? He was a piece of shit, so I can assume he’s not a great person to be around.”
“I’m a fake Saintess, and it’s all because of that man I have to masquerade around like this. I never wanted this position in the first place, but he and my father forced this upon me. They wanted to use me to gain more power and replace the former Pope with someone who found the new Saintess.”
“HAHAHA, typical noble horseshit; they always try to screw over the most amount of people while trying to seem innocent.”
I wonder if I’m in some kind of villainess story or a save-the-world novel. Most of these people seem so cliché with how they act and are way too predictable. I’m confident that without knowing any information, I can predict what most of my family members are thinking just by seeing them and having a few words.
No matter whose story this is, I’m going to make it mine. This world will fall under my rule sooner or later without fail. The only question being just how will I accomplish it and who will survive. “Hehehe”
The Saintess looked at me weirdly as I let out that giggle. Oh well, people can think I’m crazy. I don’t care at all. With how my life’s been up to this point, how can anyone stay sane?
“Did you want something from me?” After her words, I got up out of my seat and sat down right next to her. She sat there stiff as a board, refusing to turn my way. So I wrapped my arm around her body and licked her soft cheek.
“Do you want to get dominated?” I asked with heavy breaths as I took in her scent. The thrill of breaking her skin and having the rush of her blood flowing into me was pure ecstasy as I waited for her response.
“What do you mean?” The Saintess was trying too hard not to blush, but her ears and cheeks were as red as a tomato.
“I mean, do you enjoy your current life? The path I plan to take in the future will turn into a very grand one. I’m looking for people to stand next to me, and your beauty currently has you as my number one target. You’ve got beautiful, long, silky, cherry blossom hair with those crystal-clear sapphire eyes. Just how many men have you turned down?”
“As a Saintess, I have to stay pure, so I didn’t have much interaction with men besides from the church.”
“Doesn’t that just sound boring? Don’t you want to be free? Live outside the confines of the extremely outdated noble rules. I plan to shatter it! Who wants to actually learn etiquette? Why are there so many different utensils for food?” I sighed to myself as I rolled my eyes. “What do you think your family or the church would do if during your next meal you ate with your hands?”
“Eat with my hands? They would reprimand me harshly. I would also get looked down upon by everyone in the room. Rumors would spread, and I would be known as the commoner Saintess who doesn’t deserve her role.”
“That’s what I’m saying. Why do we have to do what we’re told? Just why? Who gave them the right to boss everyone around when most people got their position by being born into it? Look at me, for example. I was the ninth prince, fucking ninth! Not to mention I had four bitches as stepmothers. Why do they have any power over me when I’m not even related to them?”
“I don’t know…” You could see the stress on her face, not understanding what she could say.
“Of course not; you were fed all this crap from the very beginning, forcing you to feel obligated to follow along with everyone else.” Getting up, I sat back on the other side of the carriage. “Let me tell you, if you ever want to be free from it all and have real power, come find me in the future. I will elevate you from some useless human into something much greater.”
“Okay...” Even though she seems a little out of it, I definitely saw a little spark within her eyes as I was preaching.
“Anyway, Saintess, I need you to turn this carriage around and take me to the Tilum Kingdom.”
“But, it’s really late.”Her eyes pleading to reconsider, but I will have none of that.
“Not possible; I must go there now. Either you willingly help me, or I will use you as a hostage and probably kill a lot of knights; your call. I honestly don’t care either way, but since you’re a saintess, even a fake one, I’m sure you prefer humans to live.”
