Personal Update
Added 2021-07-27 18:32:21 +0000 UTCYesterday was a difficult day. We woke up to find that our pup was sick and his breathing was shallow. When we got him to the vet we found out that his lungs were filled with fluid because he was in the later stages of heart failure. He was 12 years old so we knew that there was a possibility we'd be dealing with health issues soon but we still weren't ready. After talking with the family we decided that the most humane thing to do for him was to let him go.
Romo was the most beautiful, friendly, and loving dog. He was always sweet and tender with the kids and would sit in front of people and stare at them, patiently waiting to be petted. He was dedicated member of the family, protective of us if he thought he needed to be. He was there to nuzzle me and lick my face when I was sad and roll around and be goofy when I needed a laugh. He was my best friend and a loved member of the family, we'll all miss him so much. 😢
I'm still modding because honestly it's helping me cope right now, but I am doing it at whatever pace feels right so please be patient with me over the next few days.

But my mom ended up surprising me with letting me pick out my own dog! so life got a little easier with our new addition to the family. But all in all, i am sorry for your sudden loss as i know how empty your family hearts may feel. But your family will get through it together but with time. <3

Good time we had together, we shared all life could throw, but years passed all too quickly, my time has come to go. I know how much you miss me, I know your heart is sore. I see the tears that fall when I am not waiting at the door. You always did your best for me, your love was plain to see, for even though it broke your heart, you set my spirit free. So please be brave without me, one day we'll met once more, for when your called to heaven, I'll be waiting at the door.

He wasn't just a dog, he was mine and my late partners baby. Your boy will be with you forever, he was lucky to have a loving family, and he will be look out for you from over the rainbow bridge.

I lost my first dog from old age and possible cancer (she was about 19 years old when she past). I had to start back at college the week after and by some grace I made it through. It really is just taking it day by day and just letting out the tears anytime they rise. I had tricked my mind by hidding photos of my dogs since moving away from them so it's not so hard to be without them. This works a little, but I think just remebering them and their joy helps the most. It eventually gets better :)

Romo was absolutely beautiful, what a smile! In time I'm sure you will remember the joy of his life, rather than the pain of his passing, but right now, I imagine it's hard to see it. We knew she was extremely and rarely old, but we were still unprepared to lose her.
