Checking In

Hey All!

Just a quick check-in since I haven't posted in a little while.

The Candle Crafting mod is coming along although the first version might not be ready until the end of the month. Something changed with one of the last patches so the candles reverted back to having their dimmer on after pouring the candles, meaning they would light up the room even though they were off. I had to rework the tuning (again because this is not the first time I've had an issue with the dimmer) but I finally found a solution this last weekend. 

I've been working on recipes for the last 2 days and although the dye recipes will be done, the bottles probably won't be available until the 2nd version is ready. I'm still trying to decide how I want to deliver it, right now I'm thinking it will be one large bottle of dye that you can get smaller bottles from to use as an ingredient. For now you will need Outdoor Retreat for the recipes to work properly although I will look into making it base game only later. It would require creating a new animation and I'm just not good with that yet.

The skill tuning is complete and I made some adjustments so it's not too easy to level up. I can't remember if the test version I released had the skill with it, but those original stats made it easy to level up super quick and it wasn't enjoyable to use. I'm going  to wrap up recipes tonight and start linking them to the candle objects so that may take a few days. After that I'm going to move on to creating the buffs for both crafting and as candle effects and then I think the first version will be ready to release!

Beds & Frames. It turns out some of you are still getting errors. Peacemaker says the solution is to remove the frames from the bed section completely. I'm super frustrated with it. I'm not sure why where something shows up in the catalog should effect how an object acts in game and makes me wonder if this is going to be an issue with other objects in the future. Anyway, if work stays slow I'm going to take next week off and should have plenty of time to go back and update the bed frames...again...

Lot Owners: January's lot is going to be another Willow Creek lot, maybe 2 if I end up building on the smaller lots in Courtyard Lane. Anything I build in this neighborhood is going to be similar to the style of homes you see in the New Orleans Garden District.
