So I literally spent all weekend picking apart meshes, tuning, resources and taking notes to determine all the ins and outs of the new harvestable system. I had spent some time previously getting an idea of which textures went where and how the basics worked but I couldn't do more than that because there was an issue in S4S with importing/exporting meshes.
Unfortunately there's still an issue with some of the plants so I had to find a couple of work-arounds for making new harvestables. While I was digging around in the files I also found a MUCH more efficient way to make overrides for EA's harvestables. I figured out how to make it so plants leaf out still but don't produce harvestables too. I'm adding this feature in to some plants because it makes more sense to me but it will be an optional download so you don't have to use it if you don't want to.
You can see the strawberry override I've started above. I added some flowers to the texture while it's in-season. I can't wait to see how this turns out!!!
