Maverick, I appreciate your service, but I’m disappointed in your reasoning regarding hiring illegal workers over business owners. It's important to acknowledge that being an illegal alien is a violation of the law. Some rationalize that the law is only broken upon crossing the border, but that is simply false. By prioritizing illegal workers over citizens, how does that benefit all citizens in the long run? Laws exist for a reason, and respecting them is crucial for maintaining fairness in business and employment. I also strongly oppose price gouging and restrictions that prevent homeowners from handling their own DIY projects. While hiring professionals often comes with warranties and insurance, excessive regulations take away personal freedoms and drive up costs unnecessarily. Of course, part of the higher cost of hiring licensed professionals stems from the protections they provide, including warranties and insurance. While these safeguards ensure accountability, they also increase expenses—costs that homeowners or businesses must absorb. Consider this: If we all sought medical care from an unlicensed alley doctor for something as serious as gallbladder surgery, sure—it might be cheaper. But at what cost? Just as medical licensing protects public health, labor laws exist to ensure fair employment practices. Hiring illegal workers outside legal structures may seem cost-effective at first, but the long-term consequences—on wages, accountability, and economic stability—are significant- not to mention the ethical concerns in defending criminal activity. Your choices are yours to make—but fairness, integrity, and long-term consequences should always be part of the equation. And by all means, if an illegal wants to become a citizen, then apply - it will allow them to become legal and no longer have the criminal element over their head. Just think of the load off of any person who wants to be an upstanding citizen when they do the right thing and not constantly commit a crime.

A lot of the people being deported are paying taxes- how can you have a tax bill that cuts taxes while at the same time decreasing our population. Also just to note, Trump and ICE are disgusting human beings breaking the constitution. Trump is racist. His organizations are making abductions and kidnappings more likely from traffickers who are NOT ICE. It is more unsafe than before.
