However Uri's peaceful and compassionate nature, despite having a tremendous amount of god like power, shook him to his core when he met him on that faithful day. So yes, Kenny wanted the power of the Founding Titan simply because he wanted to know what it would be like to not be a violent "piece of shit" of a person. His character, and backstory, is one example of the running theme of nature versus nurture that can be found in AoT. P.S. There was a major flaw with Kenny's plan and it wasn't so much because Grisha stole the Founding Titan. Hint: The reason why it was a bad plan can be pieced together using this episode and a few other episodes.
