2024-12-29 02:34:30 +0000 UTCThanks, good catch - Idk why I fused the UBW and HF Berserker fights in my head for some reason. And yeah, when we eventually see Fergus' Caladbolg in FGO it's significantly thicker than Gil's original or EMIYA's Caladbolg II (as expected of Fergus, I suppose).

And it's Caladbolg II a modified version of the Caladbolg specifically designed by Emiya to use as a long-range projectile weapon, while the original was a sword designed for close combat. The one Gilgamesh used to kill Lancer is the original Caladbolg, but at the time of this anime they didn't have a design for it, so they just reused the old assets of Caladbolg II. This was also the first time we were introduced to Lance's "protection against projectiles" skill in the VN.

However, Gae Bolg does carry a curse that makes thorns spread out from the wound and extends though the person's blood vessels. This trait from the Ge Bolg is expanded upon in the Extra games and in the Fifth Singularity of FGO.

Those 'death' people in that room where orphans kid survivors from last holy grail war and They still alive just in agony. 3. Here is located one of the harder bad endings from the VN (Bad ending 13 I belive). If you ignore Saber at every corner she would kill Shirou for the Grail at that spot.

2024-12-27 22:24:10 +0000 UTCThat sword that Gil used to finish off Cú is the prototype of Caladbolg, which you probably recognised because Caladbolg is what EMIYA uses for his broken phantasm attack against Berserker in UBW and HF. But, it's better known as the sword of the Irish hero Fergus Mac Róich, AKA Cú's foster father. Kind of a bittersweet way for him to go out.
