The Plan

(PART 1)

Feeling kind of frustrated she sits in her wheelchair staring out the window. She is wearing a sweater and a skirt with tights underneath. Rain drops keep falling on the window as she thinks about the sun. It's cold so she wears two layers of socks around her paralyzed feet. When she goes outside her hands get so cold they turn red. Her knees get cold and it will take forever to warm up again. So she longs for warmer days with sun. So she can wear skirts without tights and bare feet with high heels. Not just the sun but also a man would be nice to have around. A man who makes her smile, helps her around and can love her and then she doesn't have to be alone anymore. 

A message pops up in her inbox, it's a anonymous profile so she feels annoyed and just quickly scans the message looking for what this person is trying here, before deleting it. Surprisingly the message is long and it is a (another) devotee who wants to meet her. She would never do that but he does got her attention. He writes that he has 'a plan'. The plan involves calls, Skype meeting and eventually a real meeting. A couple of pictures are attached and a link to his real Facebook profile. 

She reads the message over and over again and tries to understand If it's not just a creepy guy who wants weird things. But since she still doesn't trust it she replies with one sentence, that shows she is not interested. But he tells her to think about it and add that he is really not some creep. She doesn't take it serious and just replies with a emoji showing a thumbs up.

She goes to bed a few hours later and starts thinking about this message. It's the pictures that got to her and he did told her that he is around her age. The pictures show a handsome young man that looks like he likes to work-out and a few other pictures where he smiles and she thinks to herself.. 'he does have kind eyes'. But there are so many people cat fishing online that she still doesn't trust it. She does some research on his profile it seems normal and when she googles his name other profiles show up. It all seems fine except for one picture.

When she sees it.. she is shocked. She looks closely and she recognizes herself. In the picture this guy is at a event with two friends where they pose for the photo but in the left corner in the background she sees a girl in wheelchair. And she remembers the day, she was there a few weeks ago. She was invited to join to visit this event about cars by one of her friends. She had never been to such an event before. She didn't remember the specific moment of that picture because she probably just rolling around and following her friend.

She did not remember meeting or seeing this guy. So they were at the same event but.. 'did he see me?' she wonders. She sends him a message asking if he knew. But he doesn't reply so she goes to sleep.
