It was diarrhea~

I thought it was a fart, turns out a diarrhea~

"Who the fuck plays that kind of stupid song?"

Calix clicked his tongue. He was gently carrying Marianne on his back. 

Together with Nikki, Calix returned to the border but the scene was much worst than they thought. It was destruction. It felt like the place was run by a stampede of bulls. 

There were torn bodies all around. Some of them were still moving. Well, those who were moving despite losing their limbs were the zombies. 

"Why are they playing that kind of song in this situation?"

Because Calix was pissed right now, he was irritated by the stupid song. He realized so many things tonight and he didn't like any of them. 

He indeed found Toshi Densetsu but their meeting was a tragedy. Calix felt like this was his most bad day. 

"Um, Calix, are you okay?"

Nikki mumbled with concern. She sensed that Calix was in a bad mood. She was hoping that she could find a way to help him... Actually there was a way to release Calix's frustration. But Nikki was too shy to say it. She felt like it was inappropriate to ask for something perverted in this kind of situation where dead bodies were all around them. 

"... I'm fine. Thanks for your concern, Nikki. What about you? Are you okay?" 

Calix realized that he was getting consumed by his emotions. It might be bad for him to stay mad. 

"I- I'm fine. I feel good and healthy. It's just... I didn't remember what I did." 

Her voice was weak as always. 

Nikki forgot everything she did after rampaging. She killed Aberrants, strong Aberrants. She even wrestled with a DemonGod and successfully killed it. 

It should be impossible for a normal TA User but Nikki's Term Attribute was unique. She would never stop unless she defeated all of her enemies. She had strong regeneration and she would keep fighting even at a disadvantage. 

That was what happened when she fought the DemonGod. She received many fatal injuries but she survived and killed the DemonGod instead. It was a feat that was hard to accomplish. Even Scarlett Robinson and Marianne Francine would never accomplish it just by using only one of their Term Attributes. 

"... I'm sure you helped Marianne."

That was the only that Calix said. He could not explain that Nikki transformed into an undying beast once she was heavily injured. 

"My Term Attribute is really scary. I didn't know what to say to Marianne, maybe I have to apologize to her once she woke up."

"Hm."

The two walked and reached the location. 

"I'm sorry, I'm late..."

Calix stopped walking and stared at the red-haired woman. 

"You dummy, I'm happy that you're alive."

Scarlett smiled and wiped the blood off her face. She was happy to see Calix. 

"Scarlett... I love you."

He was scared so he decided to tell his feelings to Scarlett. 

"Calix, baby, are you okay?"

Seeing the three, Scarlett realized that there was something wrong with Calix. 

"... I failed."

He bitterly smiled. 

"Calix, no matter what happens, I will stay by your side."

Scarlett approached him and touched his cheek. Scarlett was covered in dried blood after burning zombies into ashes, yet Calix never averted from her. He accepted her touch... He was longing for his touch. 

"Hm, thank you."

He did his best and smiled. It was frustrating that he failed. The woman he was looking for was actually very close to him and he didn't know at all.

'It's complicated, my head hurts thinking about it.'

"What happened to Quandale?"

"He is alive."

Calix looked around and found Quandale leaning against the wall. He had a missing arm and his complexion was pale. However, it seemed that he didn't become a zombie. 

"... I want to return home."

Calix was tired. His body was just trying its best to stand up. His knees were shaking. This might be the worst defeat he experienced. 

The Council of Torment was not that simple... And Calix didn't know if he could kill Toshi. He knew it. He had feelings for the woman. 

"Don't worry, we will go with you."

Scarlett comforted him and squeezed his hand. She felt like Calix was going to disappear if she didn't something. 

Calix's state of mind was too unstable. He probably experienced something terrible in the Forest of Death. 

'That black light earlier came from the Forest of Death. That ominous presence is dangerous.'

Scarlett saw that unique incident too. 

'And that Blood Moon, I was almost affected by the power of the Blood Moon. It's weaker compared to last time but it still affected me. I almost turned into a mindless murderer.  It increases my wrath.'

To be honest, she was scared too. She knew the terror of the Blood Moon. 

"Hm, I want to take a rest. Is Quandale going to be alright if we live him here?"

"The soldiers will show and the zombies are already taken care of. You don't have to worry, I believe your friend will be safe."

Scarlett was standing next to Calix. She was showing her concern by making sure that Calix would feel her presence. 

"Then... Let's go home."

Now that he found Toshi Densetsu, he didn't have any reason to stay in Junian. This place was too much for him. 

'I'll try to find Shoujo later. For now... I want to close my eyes and rest my mind. I feel like I'm going crazy.'

A few minutes later, Yuna Gracia showed up. She sensed that something was wrong so she didn't flirt with Calix.
