Hollywood What If Chapter 99

The car was burning and the professionals from the pyrotechnics team immediately stepped in and stopped the car from exploding. 

A few minutes later, an ambulance showed up and took the man. 

The crew became silent and didn't know what to do. 

"... Let's end the work for today. I want everyone to keep quiet and this accident!"

Kazir yelled at the people. He then glanced at Fremont and Harold. Having high positions, they have to make sure that the filming crew was intact. 

"Kazir..." Scarlett Johansson was scared by what she witnessed. 

"Let's talk later Scarlett, I have a job to do. You should return to the hotel."

"Y- Yes. Take care."

Kazir massaged his forehead. He approached Harold to talk about the possible results of this accident. 

Harold promised that the driver would receive compensation from Grey Pictures... Of course, the driver had to be quiet about this incident. A contract should be written. 

They didn't want to endanger the project because of one accident. The future of Grey Pictures lies in this movie. 

The accident that night made the atmosphere depressing. 

Thankfully, they rented the construction site for three days and they have two more days to spend. 

Kazir didn't have sleep that night because of what happened. He contacted Roman Polanski, hoping that he could prevent this incident from spreading. 

"We only need to shoot the car chase."

It seemed that Fremont didn't have a peaceful night too. His eyes were bloodshot after calming everyone. 

"That's right. That's the remaining scenes we need to shoot in this location. Tell everyone to be careful and keep safe. I don't want anything bad to happen again."

The filming the next night was much slower but they completed the scenes. They left the construction site after completing all of the scenes and went to their next location.

Unfortunately, the incident still spread but not in France. The news that there was an accident in the filming of Taken was caught by the film companies in Hollywood. 

Because of it, reporters and paparazzi showed up and disturbed their filming. 

"Hayst..."

Kazir sighed as he looked at the reporters who were watching them from afar. 

"France didn't care about the accident because the driver is American, but it's different in Hollywood. They are interested in your movie because of your achievements. If you're unlucky, the big six might block your road."

Harold muttered next to him. Just like Kazir, Harold had the worst expression too. He was tired these days... He didn't like being a producer at all. 

"We still don't know if the news came from the outside or one of our crew betrayed us. I'm sorry..."

"It's hard to keep this kind of information. I already know that this might happen. You should not blame yourself."

The driver was safe and he only suffered minor injuries. However, the media wanted to hype this incident so that started using the word "Allegedly" to make it worst. 

Allegedly, Director Grey didn't care about the safety of the drivers. 

Allegedly, the crew used cheap cars and caused a mistake in the process. 

Allegedly, the production of Taken might be postponed because the driver was filing a lawsuit. 

So many rumors, and so many troubles. 

The only good side of the story was that they were in France and Americans could not cause trouble here. 

However, it was obvious that their filming schedule would be affected because of this incident. 

"I heard that the paparazzi are pestering our crew in the hotel last night."

"I already talked to the security. They will try their best to keep the hotel protected from paparazzi. The problem is today..."

"Indeed."

Kazir Grey looked at his surrounding. Their filming location was to open and the paparazzi and reporters could spy on them. 

"... We have to change our schedule. Let's film the indoor scenes first. I'm sure these people will stop disturbing us once this incident subsided."

They didn't have a choice but to adapt. These people would try their best to get a good news scoop. 

Especially paparazzi, they didn't care about a person's privacy. They would stalk you all the way just to get interesting news. 

"I will call Fremont and the others." Harold understood the situation and agreed. 

"Hm? What's happening there?"

Kazir narrowed his eyes. He realized that the paparazzi and reporters were surrounding a person. 

"Is that Scarlett?"

Kazir frowned and clicked his tongue. Based on the situation, the paparazzi and reporters were disturbing the little girl.

"I can't believe that they will do this to a child! I swear, these people."

Even Harold was disgusted.

The two ran towards the commotion. 

"Miss, are you a member of this crew?"

"I- I..." Scarlett didn't know what to say. She was overwhelmed by the situation. 

"Is it true that Director Grey intentionally let the driver suffer?"

"N- No..." She stuttered. 

She was nervous. In front of these rabid people who were trying to tear her apart, Scarlett felt weak. 

Tears started flowing as she hiccuped. 

"What are you doing to a kid!? If you have any questions, you should ask me instead! I can file a lawsuit against your news stations and publisher because you harmed a child!"

Scarlett turned around and found Kazir Grey standing behind her. The man has a stern expression. 

"Director Grey, what do you think will happen once the driver came out of the hospital? Will he file a lawsuit?"

"There are rumors that you didn't care about your crew and you only feed them cheap food, is it true, Director Grey?"

The paparazzi and reporters surrounded Kazir like flies. 

Kazir signaled Harold to take Scarlett away from the commotion. 

'Where the fuck is the Children's Association? This is the moment when they are needed! They just let Scarlett face these demons.'

Kazir gritted his teeth.
