Hollywood What If Chapter 97

Scarlett Johansson had a good performance. Even though she didn't have explosive acting that would attract the audience, at least her work was efficient and made the filming crew's job easier. 

Because of that, Kazir's opinion of her became better, a little bit. 

'Scarlett is still a brat, an immature brat.'

"Director Grey, good morning."

"Oh, Eva, you're here."

Kazir was checking the storyboard when Eva Green greeted her. She had a scene today, it was about that time when Bryan Mills infiltrated a sex den and found that a drugged woman had his daughter's belongings. Because of this connection, Bryan Mills decided to take the woman to ask her where she got the bag(Note: I actually don't remember, maybe it's a jacket. I'll edit it once I found the answer. I only have data because we're currently renting a place, so I can't check the movie). 

"I'll believe that you will do your job properly."

Eva Green only got the role three days ago and she didn't have any preparation. Thankfully, her role only had a minute-long scene at best. She didn't have to act much. 

"Thank you for giving me this chance, Director Grey. I will try my best."

"It's a small role. As long as you act well, then it's all good. Besides, I promise Roman Polanski that I will help you. If you are interested in Hollywood, you can contact CAA. I will try to help you as much as I could."

"T- Thank you so much, Director Grey!"

Hearing that,  Eva Green smiled and became thankful. She knew how hard it was to build a steady foundation in Hollywood. She was there for a year but her role-hunting was fruitless. She didn't get any role so she decided to return to France and cultivate herself in the local entertainment industry. 

Hearing Kazir's approval was the best thing she heard this year. 

'It's already enough that I gave her a small role. I already kept my promise to Roman Polanski. However, I know Eva Green's future so there's no wrong with helping her. Maybe she can help me back once she's famous.'

After greeting Kazir Grey, Eva Green went into the shared trailer to receive a make-up. She was a woman who was caught by human traffickers and suffered a bad fate. Obviously, her appearance should fit the role. 

"Who's that?"

Suddenly, Scarlett Johansson appeared next to Kazir and asked about Eva Green who entered the shared trailer. 

"Hm? Are you talking about Eva Green? She is just an acquaintance."

"Is that so? But the way she looks at you is a bit different, ack--! Hey, why did you karate chopped my head!? I almost bit my tongue."

"It's because you don't know what you're saying. Eva Green is just an actress who was recommended by me. I'm sure she's just grateful."

"Really? Then that is good to hear. Kazir, you have to understand that having a relationship with an underage is a crime. Don't get close to that woman."

She said like she was saying an order to her servant. 

"I know." Kazir just shrugged. There was no reason to disagree. 

"Heh, considering your relationship with that Reese, I bet you have a thing about young women." 

She smirked and crossed her arms. Clearly making fun of him.

"Do you want me to karate chop your head again?"

"N- No." She strongly shook her head. 

"Scarlett, I met Reese Witherspoon when she was 20 years old. I believe it's not a crime. Besides, Reese and I are just friends."

"Friends? Heh, it's too stupid to believe that thing. If I were her, anyway, make sure that you know what you're doing."

"Okay, okay. Just go back to your tutor and study."

Kazir walked away to talk to Renner Hector about their shooting plan. 

"Tch! He always treats me like a child! I don't want to study! I don't want to return to school, my classmates are all bunch of immature brats!"

This shooting was a bit complicated. In the movie, after Bryan Mills found a clue to find her daughter, the human traffickers showed up and chased after him. There was a car chasing that lasted a few minutes in the movie. Furthermore, the human traffickers' cars were destroyed in the car chase. Meaning, the production crew had to buy cars just to destroy them. 

They could make miniature cars but it was time-consuming and the outcome might not be passable. 

Thankfully, Kazir and Harold attended the party and found someone who led them to a junkyard that was recycling old cars. 

Harold was responsible for choosing the cars since he had a knack for props. With his wittiness after cultivating his face to be thick, Harold negotiates 7 working cars for over 100 thousand dollars. That was very cheap. The performance of the cars was a bit low but they were enough for the film. 

Kazir could just edit the scenes to look like the cars were moving fast. It was possible by fast cutting. A film editing technique that refers to several consecutive shots of brief duration, around 3 seconds or less. If could make the sequence impactful and jaw-clenching. 

But before that, Kazir had to shoot the indoor scene first. The scene where Bryan Mills infiltrated the sex den. 

"We probably have to film in this place for two to three days."

Kazir muttered and started the shooting. 

The whole time the shooting was happening, Scarlett Johansson kept eyeing Eva Green who was trying to form a relationship with Kazir. 

"That woman, she is probably trying to do something."

To make sure that nothing would happen, little Scarlett Johansson decided to confront Eva Green.
