Calix's Fate Reversal Term Attribute had a simple ability, it could alter the status of a being or object. However, this 'status' was too broad. 

If he used his TA on a broken white house, it might return to its opposite status, which was an intact white house. However, there might a small chance that he could alter the white broken house into a black house instead. 

Because of this small possibility, Calix didn't want to use this ability. On top of that, he felt like he was slowly changing every time he used it. He felt his fangs grow a bit longer. As if he was turning into a primitive being. 

In all honesty, he was afraid of this ability. 

'But the situation this time is not good for me. I will die if I held back.'

Calix's confusion made him hesitate at first. He just wanted to save Oni Chichi. He was afraid that the woman might be dead... Indeed, he developed an affection towards her. That was the reason why he was affected so much. 

Yet he didn't expect that the woman he was trying to save was actually a Dark Elf. The target of his mission is Toshi Densetsu. 

Because of this shocking fact, Calix was afraid of hurting the woman. If possible, he wanted to convince her or subdue her. 

Too bad because Toshi Densetsu was actually a powerful woman who could summon an endless army if she returned to her top performance. She was a Demi-God. 

On top of that was the horned woman who just slammed him into the ground earlier. 

They were troublesome and dangerous. 

'Toshi Densetsu already knows that I'm Chad Ligma. Perhaps she recognized my voice and my ability.'

He wiped his sweat... He was sweating a lot right now. 

"Demon King, you have to be careful. Chad Ligma is a God-Rank TA User! I know that you are known as the God Slayer but you still haven't gained your real strength!"

Perhaps Toshi Densetsu still believe that Calix was a God-Rank, so she worriedly informed the Demon King. 

"..."

'What? When did I become a God-Rank?'

Even Calix was surprised to hear what Toshi Densetsu said. He was never a God-Rank. He was nothing but a 2nd Advanced TA User. 

"A God-Rank, huh? Interesting."

The Demon King glanced at Calix's tattered appearance. 

"Hm, based on his strength. He is probably a God-Rank who specialized in survival. He has terrifying survivability."

The Demon King was impressed. Now she understood the reason why the man kept dodging her attack. 

"..."

'Why did you easily believe it? I'm not a God-Rank for God's sake! What is this misunderstanding!'

It was ridiculous. In the first place, Calix never had the energy to be qualified to be a God-Rank. Yet these people, powerful people, easily believed that he was a God-Rank. How could that happen?

"It's your lucky day, human. I'm still not in my top form and I can't kill you with my current strength."

The Demon King's black energy sword disappeared. 

'No, I believe you can easily kill me...'

He didn't say it out loud because the misunderstanding was to his advantage. 

"So your name is Chad Ligma... What a fitting name."

"..."

He just created that name because of a fucking a meme. He didn't even know the real definition of sigma. 

The two women were staring at Calix seriously. Once they realized that he was actually a God-Rank, they understood that this battle might bring them destruction once pushed to the corner. 

"... We have to leave."

"I understand."

That was the answer for both women. This battle was dangerous for them. They didn't want to die a futile death. The purpose of the Council of Torment was to bring destruction. They could not achieve that dream if they died here. 

"I will contact Puti."

Toshi Densetsu covered her head with the hoodie. Perhaps her sanity returned after she realized Calix's real identity. 

'But my dream will not change. Now that I know your true name, I will hunt you... And make you mine. Lucky, no, Chad Ligma. You are mine and mine alone. Once you are mine, I will make sure that you will regret the rejection you did to me!'

She glared at Calix with a cold gaze. 

"Let's go."

"Who said I will let you escape!?"

"Chad Ligma. I said that I can't kill you, but it doesn't mean that you can kill me. A God can't kill me, I didn't know the reason but that's the truth."

"Try me!"

Azure aura enveloped him as he put all of his power into the bullet. 

He pointed his pistol at the Demon King, the most dangerous being he ever faced. 

His finger already touched the trigger. But before he could pull the trigger, a clouded voice prevented him. 

[Calix! Don't shoot-- the Demon King. Your power can reverse the status of a being! If you shoot.. the Demon--  King, there's a chance that she will regain all of her... memories and strength. Once that happened, not only Junian, even Dellia will be in danger!]

"..."

Calix heard the voice like a static radio signal. It was a bit choppy but he comprehended it. 

He gritted his teeth and dropped his weapon. He could not do it. He didn't want to gamble even though luck was on his side. Because in the first place, his Luck brought him to this situation. 

The Demon King nodded and didn't bother facing him. 

The followers of the Council of Torment returned to their side and waited for their retreat. 

A few seconds later, Puti showed up with wounds all over her body. Still, it seemed that she accomplished the mission because of the smile on her face. 

"Chad Ligma... Tell my mother that she is nothing but a disappointment."

Toshi Densetsu looked at him for the last before she vanished together with the Council of Torment. 

"... Uck-!"

Calix kneeled and coughed blood. Tonight brought him many unexpected things. He was gasping for air, tryna his best to stay awake. 

"I need to find Marianne and Nikki."

Knowing that Toshi Densetsu was gone, Calix understood that the mission was a failure.

"So much for a lucky man."

He muttered and walk away.
