A normal day at school, were it not for a small forgetfulness that was plaguing Akeno's stomach; she had in fact forgotten her lunch at home, left guiltily on the cabinet at the entrance.
The hunger was strong but, perhaps not surprisingly, a boy in the class offered to give the girl her own meal.
“Don't worry, it's my sister's who didn't come to school today because she's sick, I'm glad if you eat it otherwise it should be thrown away.”
Akeno perhaps should have asked herself two questions about that incredible coincidence but, in the moment, hunger did not make her think too much and she decided to accept the kind gift from the newcomer.
A welcome gift, for sure. A gift that would change that young girl's school life forever.
