Loved it. In a future video, can you address this question — even if you have already: Why don't you retry the same Wales line? Especially since you know some are definitely easier. And particularly because Wales #4 had a very marshy anticlimax — full points for geo-wizard'ing but it's not as pretty! What would be amazing would be seeing if you can remember past efforts and pain seared into your brain, and maybe, surprises pop up when things have changed! Things will have changed that you'd never ever guess!

easier to do the south pole, as it is much flatter. and the ice around the north pole is floating around so even if you go in a straight line on the ice, the GPS might think different.

If you get to the end, it counts. It might not be 100% pure but no line every is... You can't stick to the line by the metre. Unavoidable leaving the line whilst not making progress, for example while camped, to use the bathroom, or for an emergency such as what we saw last week, should not nullify the attempt.
