A dip in a freezing loch (Loch Lubnaig, Scotland)
Added 2021-10-05 14:27:24 +0000 UTCMe and a few old friends went up to climb Ben Nevis this weekend, and having successfully reached its icy summit, I thought I'd try and persuade the lads to take a dip in a freezing loch while spirits were still high. To my surprise they all obliged, even Lewis (yellow shorts) who is famed for never venturing too far from his comfort zone. It was his first big mountain and definitely his first dip in a freezing loch. I've never seen him happier.
For me, both the climb and the dip made for great preparation for the upcoming mission.
