Additionally, another movie besides 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin', which you two have also viewed and reacted to that featured Carell is 'Bruce Almighty' (2003). He played news anchor Evan Baxter, who received a promotion to said position over reporter Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey), as y'all may recall. There is a sequel starring Steve Carell called 'Evan Almighty' (2007), in which Evan and his family relocate from Buffalo, NY to a Washington D.C. residence. This is due to the fact that Evan has changed careers to become a Congressman. Morgan Freeman also reprises his role as 'God'. It is worth checking out. As for 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin': that film actually came out in Summer 2005, which was merely a few months after the release of the first season of 'The Office'. Season 1 began airing in March of that year. Furthermore, Season 2 debuted in September. So, Steve Carell was really poppin' back during that time period!
