Stringer Bell was NOT "Testing" Bodie, Shamrock and The Others. Avon and Stringer Were Indeed EXPECTING The Product To Be inside of The Rental Vehicle. This is Why Avon Sent Stringer To New York To Meet With Roberto Silva's Lawyer To inquire as To WHY The Product Was Missing. The Reason Stringer Had Bodie and Shamrock Followed Was Because of What Happened in Season 1 With ALL of The Police Activity Surrounding The Barksdale and Bell Organization. #IETVandMovieTalk #WeJustTalkingTVandMOVIES #TellemTANKseddit #TANKTheTVandMovieMaven

Yesssss loving this

Cameron

Actually, that scene depicted Omar in the South Bronx of NYC.

Also, he was in 'Orange is the New Black', another show they should react to one day.

You guys need to watch 'Reacher', it's soo good! Also 'Banshee' is amazing.

My mom used to make me a liquid breakfast with raw eggs when I was a kid. Not beer though, she’d mix the eggs with chocolate milk in a blender and call it a “super duper”. 🙂 tasted great and got me to grow tall and succeed in football. Must be something to it.

Glad to see Kima with a full recovery! Just finished episode 1… Omar is back in Baltimore, from his little trip to NY, remember him robbing someone was the last scene of the last episode of S1. Where is Baltimore, no idea. Just can’t wait to hear that whistle again!

Bill B.

Nobody from the church is involved with the interrogation and murder at the end of episode 2

The old man at the end is NOT the Father. He was the old man at the counter when they went to see the Greek the 1st time. He's the Greek. That's why everyone else from the table is in the scene.

Jesse McAdams

So if you remember, they asked McNulty where he didn’t want to go and he said dock patrol. That’s why they sent them there as punishment. And yes, Asia they change the performer of the opening song on every season.

My alcoholic dad drank eggs and alcohol. He was strong as a bull until alcohol catch up with him, then he wasn't. Raw eggs good as fast protein shot on the go.

Good ol' Maryland! If one were to sound out the syllables, then one might observantly notice how said state's name just so happens to rhyme with a couple of things in which it has long been a well-known home to: Heroin & Terrapins, as in the (University of) Maryland Terrapins, often shortened to "Terps" . Now, I shall share the following, for those select few of you who may have been previously unaware: A terrapin — besides being a famous collegiate mascot — is a type of turtle, albeit not nearly as renowned as another kind of turtle, the tortoise. But anyway, getting back to my original premise & random factoid: When said / spoken in a certain way, indeed each of these three words — "Maryland", "Terrapin" & "Heroin", respectively — can be rhymed most definitely.

Not trying to come off as a jerk, but y'all are somehow so lost at the end here! Granted, while at times the plot threads can admittedly be slightly complicated, this show should not be nearly as hard to follow / keep up with as it seems was the case this time around, more particularly / especially during the final scene of the second episode. Turning on closed captions would be one suggested recommendation to really assist when it comes to helping viewers pick up on certain things within this specific series! Seriously, please sincerely consider doing so for your own sake. Anyway, the old guy is referred to as 'The Greek'. He has no affiliation whatsoever with the church. I dunno where you conjured that up from, since the church 'Father' bears no resemblance at all to the old man aka 'The Greek'. 'The Greek' often openly hangs back at that Baltimore restaurant where meetings take place between his right-hand man, fellow Greek Spiros, plus Ukrainian Sergei aka "Borris" & usually just Nick on behalf of his Uncle Frank. Granted, we did see Ziggy drive Nick there by necessity once, as well as an understandably irate & explanation-seeking Frank also arriving at the restaurant alongside Nick right after the proverbial shit hit the fan with that one "can" (shipping container). Now, as for that last scene of the second episode: The old man in charge is of course 'The Greek'. Flanking him, as per usual, were Spiros & Sergei. They are the ones who collectively, respectively interrogated, pummeled & eventually killed the Turkish guy who tried to run away from the 'Atlantic Light' ship in Philadelphia. All of that was obviously due to said Turkish gent's extremely costly mishap involving the discovered dead girls, which has of course brought on the investigatory heat. I hope all of the above will help fill in some gaps to perhaps get you a bit back on track, that is if you even have the time to thoroughly read through the comment section.

Maybe you accidentally misspoke, BJ, but 'The Wire' is an approximately 17-to-23-year-old show at this current juncture (depending upon which season someone may be watching right now). It originally aired from 2002-2008, so no, these episodes were not shot in 2023, my man.

M4RRS

No offense intended here by any means whatsoever, but I mean literally within seconds of Nick's dialogue when he is speaking to Spiros (who Ziggy mistakes for being 'The Greek') telling him that his cousin Zig is "in the union, but...he's not getting any hours", BJ remarks, "You know he's not in the union." Like, say what?!?! Come on now! LOL! On the contrary, both family members (son/cousin Ziggy & nephew/cousin Nicky) are in fact CLEARLY established as being part of Francis 'Frank' Sobotka's union. Obviously, their industry is floundering, which is why Frank, Nick & Ziggy are getting so deeply involved in the so-called "nitty, gritty, down & dirty" illegal stuff on the side. Of course, being well aware of the longshoremen struggles down at the port docks, this is precisely what puts Frank & Co. on the radar to someone such as Baltimore Police Department Southeastern District Commander, Stanislaus 'Stan' Valchek (who is also Roland 'Prez' Pryzbylewski's father-in-law). We even see as much when Valchek is shown pensively pondering, wondering, contemplating & conversing about how in the world Frank & crew could currently come up with such an abundant amount of funds for extravagant church contributions via the likes of donations plus a huge, expensive stained glass window — all of which far outdo his own.

“How they doin that wit they fingers” I didn’t know there were tools for opening crabs till I was like 15, before that just had to make sure I didn’t stab myself too many times 😂

EJ

ASIA and BJ, you wanna know a FUN FACT about a specific character in THE WIRE (s2 x e1)? You know NICK? NICKY is the young PABLO SCHREIBER. Recently, he's been well known for his roles in DEN OF THIEVES and Amazon Prime series HALO. You know him?

Valentina Shtrigel

Damn! Y'all waited so long that the theme music changed!

Justin Freeman

The old guy in the hat at the end wasn't the father from the church as a heads up. He's been in the diner just hanging back, not speaking much whenever the dock guys get a container.

Potato Jones

Finally, but too late to watch it tonight. I will definitely be watching this with my morning coffee. I hope you enjoy this season as it will be a little bit different than the last one, but all four seasons get tied together nicely in the final season. ☕️😊👍🏻
